Lampbrella: Umbrella + Lamp by Mikhail Belyaev

Just imagine you are out of the house without umbrella and it starts raining. It looks beautiful when you free and just waiting for the rain to get soaked in it and to enjoy it. But it becomes painful when you do not need it. It is more painful when you are going for some important work.

You can’t afford to get soaked in water anyway. In that condition you keep on cursing yourself for not taking umbrella with you or the rain to come on wrong time. But to solve your problem Russian designer Mikhail Belyaev from St. Petersburg has a concept fro escaping you from this problem.

This design by the designer works as both umbrella and lamp. That is why it is named Lampbrella. I just loved this concept. This design works on sensors. Umbrella is equipped with sensors which react on a drop of rain. It has one more sensor.

It automatically opens when the second sensor, recognizes the movement of a person approaching the umbrella. There is also the dome itself, or else when the rain ends, or if a motion sensor “tells” that no one under the umbrella.

Its light works at night. It get closed itself when the rain ends, or if a motion sensor senses that there is no one under the umbrella. Isn’t it creative and unique!!!
