The caption for Picture #6 is incorrect. The Shuttle is not flying over Switzerland, but is instead taking off and gaining altitude over the launch facility at the Cape on the east shoreline of Florida. The Cape’s shoreline is very much a marsh (swampy) with many water pockets or pools of water between the grassland and tree areas, as you see beneath the Shuttle. You can also see her exhaust trail behind her as she ascends and is not yet out of our atmosphere. The Shuttles have never flown so close to the earth over northern Europe where you can descern buildings and vegetation area with the nakid eye, nor old they ever be at this angle of flight to the ground except on take-off.
