Nature gives us so many gifts which make our lives more beautiful & joyful. There are so many things around us from which we can get positive energy; we can learn so many things. Everybody has a different view on different things in life. There are so many creatures of nature that have so much joy, so much loveliness in them. It is just that our eyes sometimes don’t notice this beauty of nature.
Hedgehog is also such a small and beautiful creature. It was named as Hedgehog because of its peculiar foraging methods. These animals root through hedges and other undergrowth in search of the small creatures that are the elements of their diet. It emits a pig-like grunt while hunting for food – thus, known as Hedgehog. These pets can prey on many common garden pests. They use the sense of hearing and smelling while on the hunt, because their eyesight is weak.
They usually sleep in the day, and search for food at night. Their diet elements are – insects, worms, centipedes, snails, mice, frogs, and snakes. Hedgehogs hibernate in cold climates. They remain active all year in more temperate locations. These are spiny mammals of subfamily Erinaceinae. These mammals usually couple for mating. Hedgehogs are great pets. They look very sweet, and have lots of joy in them.
