The biggest event on this earth, The MahaKumbh is all set to take place in Allahabad, India. The Kumbh is a religious gathering of variety of people to take a holy dip in the Sangam, the confluence of the three rivers Ganges, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati. The bath taken during this Maha Kumbh is said to be the most important one in a person’s life as far as the spirituality is concerned.
About 100 million devotees are supposed to arrive this year. The MahaKumbh is organized every 12 years during these 12 years 4 Kumbh each at an interval of 3 years is also organized. The city management is all set to witness this grand event. Around millions of workers are engaged in a continuous shift to make the place eligible for this event.
There are around hundreds of Ghats for the pilgrims to have bath. The “grand bath” or “Shahi Snaan” (in Hindi) is of the top virtue. The place is completely at “state of the art” to handle the crowd. There is a kind of virtual sun (the bulbs all around river), that will lead to a continuous bathing even in the night. The devotes are coming from different parts of the world. This area of around 20 KMs is going to be overcrowded for about 20 months and it will last up to 10 March.
