Everyone heard the name of Stockholm Metro or Stockholms tunnelbana which is the most beautiful place in the world. The Stockholm metro or Stockholms tunnelbana is a metro system in Stockholm, Sweden. The first line opened in 1950, and today it consists has 100 stations in use, of which 47 are underground and 53 above ground. The other stations (underground) are either concrete or rock stations.
There are seven lines numbered from 10 to 19, in three groups identified by a color: the Green, Red and Blue lines. Each color line has two or three numbered lines on shared sections through the Stockholm City Centre. The blue ones are the newest and also the ones that are deepest situated below Stockholm.
The majority of them are left with the bedrock exposed, crude and unfinished, which in several stations is used as part of the decorations. The Stockholm metro is well known for its decoration of the stations; it has been called the longest art gallery in the world.
I consider that everyone has to plan a journey of Stockholm, even I always wished to visit this kind of destination but after seeing these outstanding metro photographs I can’t wait for long! What a glorious work of art, coupled with utility. We could never have a public mass transit that could compare with this. The seats are upholstered. Can’t do that in America because the people have no respect fora public work.
Also, notice there is no graffiti marring the walls. This was built for the people by the Swedish government, a government that doesn’t the nations wealth on stupid wars we can’t win, as well as government corruption on a scale far larger than anywhere else in history. Well done, Sweden. Take a look of this showcase and share your precious comments if you like this post.
