iPhone’s New $2000 Model is Coming Soon
As for most of the people, the pricing of iPhone X is just a flash-in-the-pan for Apple. But it is a watershed moment. Over a period of time, the prices of iPhone have increased dramatically. Most of the legacy models used to see a reduction of price whenever a new model comes along and mostly for a good reason. Most importantly, it is the procedure of Apple to tidy up its supply chain. After the creation of molds and machines for SoCs, aluminum bodies along with logic boards, it is silly not to expect the exhaustion of their lifespan.
No matter how rich you are, iPhone X is still very expensive. Let’s take into the account that the headline is $999. We would expect that Apple will hit that price-point to avoid announcing a new phone which costs more than $1,000. It would seem to be very bad for marketing purposes, and no one in the right mind can fathom this idea.
But look at the trend. At present, an iPhone Plus is priced at $100 premium. Does that mean that OLED Super Retina screen will lead to added premium? A 64GB iPhone 8 currently costs at $699. Now compare this with the price of iPhone X’s price. The difference is whopping $300. If you look at the past, when the iPhone 6 came out, it was priced $150 more than the 5S, and it had the same screen technology.
Now don’t forget to ascertain what you will really be spending. For iPhone X, the Apple Care costs at $199. This is way up from $129 in previous iterations. And you all will want a case too. Now Apple’s cases are priced at $39 or $49. The price of $999 is for 64 GB version of iPhone X. The next option is the 256 GB version, which is priced at $1,149.
Apple will roll out a new iPhone X in 2018 with a starting price of $999. In the year 2019, it will cost $1,099 and along will come iPhone X Plus which will cost at $1,299. Apple Care is now $249 while the memory bump is still at $150 premium. Now, let us assume a scenario that Apple presents a 512GB option which is priced at a $250 premium, which is $100 more than the 256GB version.
If this prediction ends up accurate and our prediction is right, then the best iPhone X on offer will cost at around $1,800 including Apple care. Now get a few cases which will raise the cost to $1900. And don’t forget the wireless charging pad which is $999. Now, this essentially means that you will end up spending $2,000 for a phone and along with all the accouterments that come with it.
