We do want to remember that the argument of “6-month battery life” is pretty much merely marketing BS, however, as it is based on just 2 hours of usage per day. (This is a doubtful use case particularly for professionals or gamers.) Because it charges via USB, however, you need to plug it in periodically— don’t worry about the batteries. This one is an excellent product for this size. Most of you’ll probably be pleased with that, but if you want better choices, keep reading.
Jelly Comb Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo Kit
The first thing you might note when you are reading this article is that this keyboard looks very familiar. It seems almost similar to the keyboard as mentioned above, and we’re not sure why—-maybe the frame comes from the same manufacturer? In any case, what we said about the experience of typing before it relates quite a lot here. The chiclet design goes a long way to keeping the keyboard quiet and comfortable.
However, here are the same wireless and recharging functions. You’ve probably noticed by now that, despite being nearly identical, this keyboard is a little more expensive than our #1 choice, so what does it do?
The one bundles even a wireless mouse! Interestingly, the wireless mouse comes with a hardware DPI toggle for such a cheap product. It gives it some gaming versatility, but not up to a full-blown gaming mouse level. Additionally, instead of USB recharging, the wireless mouse uses batteries, so you may have to remove those periodically.

Apart from the whole “ergonomic” aspect, when in use, this keyboard is also relatively quiet! Instead of chiclet, it uses membrane switches, but luckily they are still extremely quiet. Even combing for nitpicky feedback via Amazon, we couldn’t find any complaints— so we can’t complain, either.
Logitech K800 Wireless Illuminated Keyboard
Our choice for the best quiet wireless keyboard is the Logitech K800 Wireless Keyboard. Although it may not be constructed as slim as our first few choices, the quality of its construction is excellent, and it comes with some nice extras. Most notably, there is an integrated wrist rest compared to the first two on this list. It would make it much more convenient to use this keyboard than the first two, which are more based on shape over function.
We couldn’t confirm the type of switch on this keyboard. Its keys are not designed to pop off, and it does not at all sound like typical chiclet or membrane. It doesn’t sound like a mechanical keyboard, but it’s clear that Logitech went along with this one with a non-conventional approach. Nevertheless, this technique works because the keyboard is whisper-quiet.
There is also built-in backlighting, which is useful in the dark to form sessions.
(Speaking specifically as a writer for a minute, I owned and used this keyboard as a regular driver back in 2012 after discovering it in a thrift store. I never had any issues with it, but it felt weak. Current reports testify to that, and it seems like specific units are being delivered in bad condition. If this happens to you, we suggest a refund, but if it arrives in working order, it will shoulder. Even on sale, this keyboard retails on Amazon for about $60 or so— it costs a pretty penny.
Corsair K55 RGB Gaming Keyboard
Let’s say you’re a gamer, you want a quiet keyboard and you don’t want to spend a great deal of money on it. There’s hope for— Yes. The response is yes, and you’d like to get the K55 Corsair. It is a full-blown Corsair keyboard, complete with wrist-rest detachable support and RGB support. Unlike the higher-end mechanical versions, this keyboard uses membrane switches, but this does come in handy here, as membrane switches are typically quieter than mechanical switches.
It won’t be the quietest keyboard on this list, but it should be a little quieter than your usual, mechanical or otherwise, gaming keyboard. Add the advantages of built-in Macro keys and Corsair apps, and for gamers who don’t want to pay $100 on a keyboard, you have a pretty convincing choice here.
Although that’s more expensive than the first few entries on this list, in exchange, you get plenty of apps. It would be a reasonable trade-off for most people.
However, before you buy this, we do think it is necessary to remember that there is a minimal implementation of RGB here. Expressly, you’re limited to three keyboards “zones,” rather than the higher-end models per-key lighting experience. With this, you can still get some good visual flair, but with high-end RGB keyboards, you won’t be able to reach quite the same amount of versatility that you can.

Logitech G413 Backlit Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
You don’t want to go back to all of you who use mechanical keyboards. Mechanical keyboards excel in tactile input, which is perfect for professionals and gamers who have been using them for a long time. Unfortunately, most mechanical switches do appear to be very noisy, and for those in the vicinity, this can be a bit of a concern.

The Strafe boasts excellent build quality and per-key RGB support, like other Corsair keyboards in this price range. There’s everything you’re expecting in a high-end keyboard, including a dedicated volume knob, convenient wrist rest, swappable keycaps, and RGB, of course. While you don’t have built-in macro keys, you can easily use the iCue program to create your macros with different key combinations.
We suggest using Caps Lock as a key to building macros, as it has the least common use on your keyboard of any other key. Worst-case scenario, when shout-typing your teammates, you would have to keep down the move.
The only real critique we have to impose is its high price on this keyboard. That one will cost a pretty penny more than any previously mentioned keyboard. However, it costs more than twice the above-mentioned K55 price. It’s still a good deal, mind, if you’re not used to spending so much on a keyboard, it could just hurt.
Razer BlackWidow Elite Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
Most of what we said earlier about the Corsair keyboard applies here. It is a genuinely stellar all-around keyboard with excellent RGB support, additional hardware features, and amazing mechanical switches. Where the Corsair keyboard switches, this is with the Razer Yellow turn.
The Razer Yellow switch is a linear and silent variant of Razer’s MX Red switch. It means that you can get the quietest possible experience of typing with the Blackwidow Elite on a Razer keyboard, as long as you have the edition Yellow. Both the Orange and Green versions will be much louder, especially Green.
This keyboard is also much more costly than the Corsair mentioned above alternative. That does, however, come with the bonus of a passthrough headphone port!
Das Keyboard 4 Professional Mechanical Keyboard (MX Brown version)
Comprehensive disclosure: this is more a soft-touch keyboard than a “quiet” keyboard. The Cherry MX Brown option isn’t as quiet as an MX Red, so it may not be right for you for those of you who want a completely quiet experience.
MX Brown strikes a healthy balance in most cases. For example, office utilization should be more than excellent. Nevertheless, we would not suggest reading this in bed right next to your significant other.
It is also the most expensive keyboard on this list… so why should we recommend it?
