New Trend in IoT

Smart home technology referred to as home automation provides homeowners security, comfort, convenience and energy efficiency. It can be done by allowing them to control smart devices, often by a smart home app on their smartphone or another networked device.
The part of the internet of things (IoT), intelligent home systems and methods operate together, sharing consumer usage data among themselves with automating actions based on the home dwellers preferences.

The origins of the Intelligent Home

Release of X10, in 1975, a communication protocol for home automation, the smart home, once a pipe dream a la The Jetsons, came to life. X10 sends 120 kHz radio frequency (R.F.) bursts of digital information onto a home’s existing electrical wiring to programmable outlets or switches.

The signals convey commands to corresponding devices, controlling how and when the devices operate. A transmitter could send a message along with the house’s electric wiring, telling a device to turn on at a specific time.

However, as electrical wiring is not designed to be mainly free from radio-band “noise,” X10 was not always entirely reliable. Signals would be lost, and signals wouldn’t cross circuits that were wired on different polarities. It is created when 220-volt service is split into a pair of 100-volt feeds which is common in the U.S.

X10 was initially a one-way technology. Smart devices can take commands. They can not send data back to a central network. Later, two-way X10 devices became available, at a higher cost.

Home Sweet Home

Home automation company Insteon came in 2005 and introduced automation technology that combined electric wiring with wireless signals. Zigbee and Z-Wave have emerged to counter the problems prone to X10. Though X10 widely remains installed communications company to this day.

Nest Labs, founded in 2010, released its first smart product, the Nest Learning Thermostat, in 2011. The company created security cameras and smart smoke/carbon monoxide detectors. It became a subsidiary of Alphabet Inc., after being acquired by Google in 2015.

SmartThings Inc. launched a Kickstarter campaign, in 2012, raising $1.2 million to fund smart home system. After additional funding, in August 2013, the company came on the market and was taken over by Samsung in 2014. Recently Amazon, Apple and Google have released their smart home products and domotics platforms, including Amazon Echo, Apple HomeKit and Google Home.

Smart Home Technologies Examples

  • Smart T.V.s connect to the internet to access content through applications, such as on-demand video and music. Smart T.V.s include gesture or voice recognition.

  • Residents can monitor their homes, with smart security cameras, when they are on vacations. Intelligent motion sensors can identify the difference between visitors, residents, pets and burglars. If suspicious behaviour is detected, they can notify authorities. Lawns and houseplants can be watered by way of connected timers. Pet care can be with connected feeders for automation.
  • Kitchen appliances are available, including smart coffee makers that can brew you a fresh cup as soon as your alarm goes off. Intelligent refrigerators can keep track of expiration dates make shopping lists and even create recipes based on ingredients currently on hand—slower toasters and cookers. In the laundry room, dryers and washing machines.
  • Household system monitors may sense an electric surge and turn off appliances. They can detect freezing pipes or water failures or turn off the water. It can prevent flood in your basement.

How Smart Homes work and Home Implementation

Newly built homes are constructed with intelligent home infrastructure in place. Older homes can also be retrofitted with smart technologies. While smart home systems still run on X10 or Insteon, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi have grown in popularity.

Z-Wave and Zigbee are two of the most commonly used home automation communications protocols in use today. Both mesh network technologies. They use low-power, short-range radio signals to connect smart home systems. Though both target the same intelligent home applications, with Zigbee, often perceived as the more complex of the two. Zigbee has a range of 10 meters to Z-Wave’s 30 meters.

A smart home is not different intelligent devices and appliances, but ones that work together to create a remotely controllable network. A master home automation controller controls all home devices, often called a smart home hub. An intelligent home hub is a hardware device that acts as the central point of the intelligent home system and can sense, process data and communicate wirelessly. It combines all of the different apps into a single, smart home app that can be controlled remotely by homeowners. These include Amazon Echo, Google Home, Insteon Hub Pro, Samsung SmartThings and Wink Hub, among others.

Intelligent home systems can be created from scratch, like using a Raspberry Pi or prototyping board. Others can be purchased as a bundled quick home kit — also known as a smart home platform — that contains the pieces needed to start a home automation project.

Smart home scenarios, events can be timed and monitored. Timed events are based on a clock, like, lowering the blinds at 6:00 p.m., while triggered activities depend on actions in the automated system; for example, when the owner’s smartphone approaches the door, the smart lock unlocks, and the intelligent lights go on.

Machine learning and artificial intelligence (A.I.) is becoming increasingly popular in smart home systems, allowing home automation applications to adapt to their environments. Voice-activated systems, such as Google Home or Amazon Echo, contain virtual assistants which personalize the smart home to the residents’ preferences and patterns.

Smart Building Architecture

While every smart home is an intelligent building, not every intelligent building is a smart home. Enterprise, industrial, commercial and residential buildings of all shapes and sizes, including offices, skyscrapers, apartment buildings, and multi-tenant offices and residences are deploying IoT technologies to improve building efficiency, reduce energy costs and environmental impact, and ensure security, as well as improve occupant satisfaction. Many of the same intelligent technologies used in the smart home are deployed in smart buildings, including lighting, energy, heating and air conditioning, and security and building access systems.

A smart building can reduce power costs using sensors to detect how many occupants are in a room. The temperature can automatically adjust, putting fresh air on if sensors detect a full conference room, or turning the heat down if everyone in the office has gone home for the day. Smart buildings can connect to the intelligent grid. Here, intelligent building components and the electric grid can “talk” and “listen” to each other. With smart technology, energy distribution can be managed efficiently, maintenance can be handled proactively, and power outages can be responded to more quickly.

Beyond the above benefits, a smart building can provide building owners and managers the benefit of predictive maintenance. According to the recent amendment proposed, FBI can view the browser history only with an issued warrant has failed in the US Senate by one vote.

House of Representatives have been persuaded by privacy advocates to pass a law where FBI needs to have a warrant to view your search history.

Congress has been approached by a group of technology to protect the browser history, which as per the current scenario can be obtained without a search warrant by the FBI unless there is a law to prevent it.

The amendment of the USA Freedom Re authorization Act was rejected by the US Senate on May 13th that required Government to get the warrant before searching through Americans’ browsing histories. A Democrat named Sen Ron Wyden from Oregon along with a Republican named Sen Steve Daines from Montana had proposed the Bipartisan amendment which failed by one vote.

Companies like Mozilla, Reddit, Twitter and Patreon along with other organizations which include Reform Government Surveillance, Engine and i2Coaliation have signed a letter on Friday insisting the House Leaders to include the Wyden and Daines amendment.

“Our users demand that we serve as responsible stewards of their private information, and our industry is predicated on that trust,” the letter says. “Americans deserve to have their online searches and browsing kept private, and only available to the government pursuant to a warrant.”

 Congress is trying to restore the Government Surveillance Powers under the USA Freedom Re authorization Act that expired in March with the Patriot Act. Provisions are added onto the legislation by the Legislators, like an amendment that would require outside legal experts to penetrate more on privacy and civil liberties issues to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.

On May 14th, House of Representatives received the bill without Wyden- Daines amendment. The FBI will get to view American’s web browser history without a warrant, if the bill is passed and becomes a law.

A letter has been signed on 18th May by the group of tech companies along with more than 50 civil liberties groups including the American Civil Liberties Union, Fight for the Future and Human Rights Watch, as well as privacy advocates like DuckDuckGo and the Center for Democracy & Technology to the House’s leaders for adopting this protection.

Xbox One is on, and during this period if you are encountering connectivity issues, Network Address Translation (NAT) type is the first place to look. NAT establishes how easily we connect to other players, potentially limiting who we can enjoy games with. While various solutions can alter NAT type, enabling Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) is usually accepted as the first step.

For Xbox One consoles, Xbox Live is down on May 22, 2020, which may cause NAT issues to be displayed.

Why there is a need for Open NAT on Xbox One

We may have seen terms indicating the leniency of NAT types when connected to Xbox Live and playing online games. This somewhat represents compatibility with other players, with stricter NAT types often experiencing multiplayer connectivity issues.

Users with Open NAT will generally see the best experience on Xbox Live. While getting NAT open is ultimately the end goal for the best connectivity, this has proven to be difficult for many users. One of the standard solutions is port forwarding, helping to route gaming traffic directly to the console.

Understanding UPnP in gaming

  • Ports are digital channels for the router, used for sorting incoming and outgoing internet traffic.
  • UPnP essentially allows applications automatically to forward ports, to avoid the hassle of manual “port forwarding.”
  • Although they achieve the same output, UPnP enables the console to request a port seamlessly rather than requiring specific port numbers to be entered manually. And for many, it’s a simple flick of a switch.
  • We must note that UPnP has seen heavy criticism in the past, due to a long list of security flaws associated with the technology.
  • Malicious programs can leverage UPnP vulnerabilities, only as a result of its open nature. So there may be some related security risks here.
  • The technology is far from standardized, meaning implementations can vary between routers, especially on older or less reputable models.
  • It is a case of slightly relaxing security for convenience, though usually, the risk isn’t high for home consumers.

Port forwarding only creates specific port maps to maintain higher security levels, but it requires a bit of manual work.

How to enable UPnP for Xbox One

If we want to enable UPnP on our router, the setup process is simple. Steps may vary between router models, though we’ve provided a general guideline of what to expect. Do not use a combination of port forwarding, UPnP, or DMZ when configuring Xbox One’s connectivity. Make sure all are disabled before moving forward.

Follow the steps:

  • Navigate to the router login page.
  • Log in to the router using the required credentials.
  • Navigate to the UPnP menu on the router.
  • The given action once again varies between models, so please be specific on the router.
  • If UPnP is not available, we must recommend port forwarding.
  • Enable the UPnP.
  • Save changes.
  • Open the Settings app on Xbox One.
  • Select the Network tab.
  • Select Test NAT type tile. It would be best if you had Open NAT on Xbox One.

Mac and Windows-based PC are different. But how to understand this in layman terms. Let’s give you some idea about it. The Mac OS always supports both a left-click and a right-click for the mouse. Besides, we can hook up the mouse we use on our Windows PC to a Mac. While Apple’s Magic Mouse might seem like a single button, clicking it from the right side produces a right-click.

One of the biggest stumbling blocks for transitioning from the Windows to a Mac is keyboard shortcuts. The first time we try to use Control+C to copy a block to the Mac clipboard, we realize that Control+C doesn’t copy anything to the clipboard, for your surprise. On the Mac, Command+C does it very well. As simple as difference sounds, it can take some time getting used to before it feels natural to us.

The more differences include are :

  • Windows has much software written for it, including proprietary software people need for work.
  • Windows supports both keyboard mouse setup and touch screens, making it available on desktops, laptops, and tablets. Mac OS never supports touch screens, so it is only available on a desktop or notebook.
  • The Mac has a relationship with the iPhone and the iPad. The Mac can share files with the iPhone or iPad wirelessly using AirDrop, or iCloud. It can open documents that are open to receive phone calls routed through the iPhone or iPad.
  • More viruses and malware target Windows-based PCs. However, malware is explicitly written for the Mac.
  • Windows-based PCs are built by various manufacturers, including HP, Dell, and Lenovo. It keeps prices down on PCs, which are usually cheaper than Macs.
  • Macs are built and sold by Apple. Its tighter control of the hardware leads to lesser problems, which could result in better stability. It means more secondary options.
  • Microsoft Windows supports gaming in a much better way. It supports Virtual Reality hardware such as the Oculus Rift or HTC Vive.
  • It is easy to upgrade a Windows-based PC part by part. Although most people find it more convenient to buy a new PC, techies can boost the longevity of their computers by upgrading the RAM used by applications, the graphics used by games, or the storage used by music, movies, and other media.

PC vs. Mac: Which is better for a student?

With the rise in the number of students bringing Macs to campus(over 50% of the Fall 2016 freshman class), there are likely more students(and parents) debating whether or not to buy a PC or a Mac. The concise answer is that Lehigh fully supports both Windows and Mac platforms; and, as stated previously, it is always recommended that you purchase the computer that fits your wants/needs for personal use as long as the hardware specifications provide Lehigh’s minimum requirements(which new machines do). It would be best if you made a final purchase decision, LTS has compared the following significant points between both platforms. Be aware that we may have other considerations specific to our needs; however, the next major comparison points should give us a solid starting point.

Viruses / Malware / Spyware

It continues to be a significant concern for users of Windows. While the latest versions of Windows are more secure than previous versions and Microsoft continues to make great strides in security and protection, the Windows platform is still the target of the majority of viruses, malware, and spyware on the Internet.
Macs typically experience fewer viruses or malware or spyware-related problems. Regardless of platform, no system is immune from threats, and Lehigh still recommends that users take appropriate steps to protect their computer from virus/malware/spyware threats.

Coursework-related Software

Most coursework across many majors can be completed using Windows and Mac platforms (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite for Windows and Mac). However, there are individual courses that make use of Windows-only software as part of the coursework. In these cases, students with Macs might run Windows as a second OS either by a 3rd party program like VMware or VirtualBox or using Apple Bootcamp. Students requiring to run a Windows-only application on Mac could obtain a copy of Windows from the Lehigh Imagine program. It can install alongside Mac OS. Warranty Considerations

Most PC manufacturers – especially Lehigh recommendations purchasing from – offer standard and extended warranty coverage that cover parts and labor for manufacturer defects. Lehigh strongly recommends purchasing accidental-damage protection, which includes accidents like liquid spills, drops, etc.

Apple provides a one year warranty on all newly purchased computers. Lehigh strongly recommends buying the AppleCare+ with an extended warranty. AppleCare+ extends the warranty for three years and adds up to two incidents of accidental damage coverage. Deductible fees apply for unintentional damage, and details are on the Apple support website.

Initial Cost vs. Longevity

“You get what you pay for,” The concept is genuine due to the PC market. We might find a fabulous deal on a computer at a discount retail store, but find us looking for a new computer only after a year. If we purchase one of the Lehigh-recommended models (PC or Mac), our machine should last throughout our academic career.

Why Do We Need Ansible?

It is of utmost importance to understand problems that were faced before Ansible.

Previously, system administrators managed servers by hand, changing configurations, installing software, and administering services on individual servers.

Data centers grew, and hosted applications became complex, administrators realized they could not scale manual systems management as fast as the applications they were enabling. It hampered the developers’ velocity since the development team was agile and releasing software frequently. Still, IT operations were spending time configuring the systems.

  • Facts: Global variables that contain information about the system, such as network interfaces or operating system.
  • Handlers: To trigger service status changes, i.e., restarting or stopping a service.

Advantages

  • Simple: It uses a simple syntax written in YAML called playbooks. YAML is a human-readable, data serialization language. It is extraordinarily simple. No special coding skills are required. People, even in your IT organization, who do not know what Ansible is, can likely read a playbook and understand what is happening. Ansible always executes tasks in order. It is simple to install, too. The simplicity makes sure that you can get started quickly.
  • Agentless: Finally, Ansible is entirely agentless. There are no agents or any software or additional firewall ports that you need to install on the client systems or hosts you want to automate. You do not have to set up a management infrastructure separately, which includes managing your entire operations, network, and storage. Ansible reduces the effort required for the team to start automating right away.
  • Powerful & Flexible: Ansible’s powerful features that can enable to model even the most complex IT workflows. In this aspect, Ansible’s batteries included approach can manage the infrastructure, networks, operating systems, and services that you are already using, as Ansible provides with hundreds of modules to manage them. Together Ansible’s capabilities orchestrate the entire application environment regardless of where it is deployed.
  • Efficient: No extra software on the servers means more resources for applications. As Ansible modules work via JSON, Ansible is extensible with modules are written in a programming language already known. Ansible introduces modules as essential building blocks for the software. What Can Ansible Do?

Ansible is generally grouped along with other Configuration Management tools like Puppet, Chef, SaltStack, etc. Ansible is not limited to Configuration Management but can also be used in many different ways.

Provisioning: The apps have to live somewhere. For that, we will remove the current site, and implement our new website, and restart the load balancer or the web cluster if needed. Users would notice downtime because we have not removed traffic going live to the said machines via the load balancer. So, we require some pre-task, where we tell the load balancer to put this webserver into maintenance mode so that we might disable traffic temporarily from going to it, as it gets upgraded. We added a block up here, which means a pre-task will be to disable the web node in the load balancer.

So, this is the pre-task, where we can disable traffic, then down here, we can upgrade the node using these various tasks. Finally, we require some type of post-task, which will enable traffic to the web node again by taking it out of maintenance mode. These tasks might be written in Ansible playbooks, and hence it helps to orchestrate the environment.

The company has earlier let the listing of products on Instagram and Facebook for the Businesses purpose, but the shops of Facebook have allowed them upload their listings to make their accessibility across the various apps of Facebook

 “It’s one simple and consistent experience across this family of apps, which means it is easier for people,” in a live stream on Facebook, says the CEO. “That, of course, means there’ll be higher conversions and more sales for small businesses.”

Zuckerberg says that he was developing the feature of Facebook shops personally, to provide support for small scale businesses. Facebook shops progress its efforts. On Tuesday, the CEO says small scale businesses add up to the vast majority of Facebook’s more than 8 million advertisers. The small businesses will be encouraged to actively remain engaged with the platform despite the shops being free of cost. A declaration of $100 million programs to support the small scale businesses and give a path for small businesses to sell gift cards directly to the consumers through the platform of Facebook since the start of the pandemic.

Facebook will be able to manage more ad sales through long term, shops, and other e-commerce products.

“Our business model here is ads, so rather than charge businesses for Shops, we know that if Shops are valuable for businesses, they’re going to in general want to bid more for ads,” Zuckerberg said. “We’ll eventually make money that way.”

Although Facebook Shops will make it simple for the companies to catalog their products on Facebook, in most cases, users will have to leave Facebook and head to a company’s website to complete the purchase.

In nearly many cases users will have to leave Facebook and bonce to a company’s website to finish the buying.

Only businesses taking part in Facebook’s Checkout, an invitation-only program that Facebook is trying out, will be able to perform transactions on the social network. Facebook invoices a selling fee for sales completed through Checkout but has denied revealing the sum or nature of that fee because that program is still in beta.

The company records that it’s working with partners like BigCommerce, Shopify, and others to support small businesses. Shopify’s stock price was raised by more than 2% following the news of Facebook Shops.

“Small businesses need a way to find new buyers,” adds Shopify’s CEO Tobias Lutke on the live stream with Zuckerberg. “This is going to be an incredibly powerful new reality for everyone in the retail space to have these powerful tools natively on the Facebook platform.”

The company said Facebook Shops would start to rise on Tuesday and become more extensively available over the coming months.

“We hope the tools can relieve some of the pressure small scale businesses are facing right now and help businesses of all sizes prepare for the future,” said the statement.

Marut Drones was founded by Prem Kumar Vislawath, Suraj Peddi, and Saikumar Chinthala, IIT Guwahati alumni. The idea takes the help of drones for reforestation, sustainable agriculture, and tackling insect menace on lakes. While they had not anticipated a situation such as COVID-19, they still rose to the occasion to help the needy.

11 districts in Telangana has been disinfected by a Hyderabad-based start-up Marut Drones. They are helping authorities in surveillance too.

A multi-pronged approach is keenly required to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic. The measures are taken to minimize human contact and protect the police, health workers, sanitation staff, and those working at the front lines. This technology can be of use in such circumstances. In collaboration with authorities in Telangana since March, Marut Drones has employed 19 drones to carry out sanitization and disinfection in 11 districts, including Nalgonda, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Warangal, Sangareddy and Kamareddy.

Drones possess machine learning, data analytics, Artificial Intelligence AI, and Internet of Things IoT. It can carry approx.10L of disinfectant to cover around 20 km. Till now, the firm has disinfected 1900 km with 9800L of disinfectant.

Marut-Drones

Marut Drones, registered in 2019, was conceptualized at Hyderabad’s T-Hub and mentored by IIIT-Hyderabad and Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad. Very recently, the firm was featured in Forbes’ ‘The 30 Under 30 Asia’ list and is among the top 25 trending technologies listed by AGNIi (Accelerating Growth of New India’s Innovations) for fighting against COVID-19.

They had to re-engineer their drones for COVID-19 operations. Drones can now cover large areas in less time. They demonstrated how medical and essential supplies could be delivered to far-flung areas using drones. They are waiting for approval and clearance to be able to start functioning in full fledge.

Telangana hopes to ease lockdown measures in the coming months gradually, the company is planning to increase operations and work with the local authorities for night-time surveillance of various zones by using thermal cameras to spot infection clusters and supply emergency medical attention to the needy.

T-Hub start-ups in COVID-19

ByteForce: developed SafeVision, an AI-based computer vision solution, can be integrated into any CCTV or drone camera to monitor people in public places.
BlueSemi: built a wireless thermal sensor, monitors temperature in a crowd.

Blockapps.ai: surveillance solutions for hotspots using drones.

Marut Drones is very keen to collaborate with like-minded start-ups, which use drones to help the public and private sector in the thermal analysis of crowds. Drones are being retrofitted with cameras to detect high body temperatures in people from a distance.

The Small Beginning

Prem tells that he had been interested in drones since 2012. In 2016, a personal need arose and made him think of using drones for public health service. His parents live in the outskirts of Hyderabad near to the lake with persistent mosquito menace. They had submitted a complaint to the Panchayat officer about this. The officer returned his letters. As they didn’t have resources to tackle the menace. The municipal staff could spray anti-larval medicines on the lakesides, but they had no access to the more substantial mid-portion of the lake. The thick water hyacinth was also acting as a deterrent. The Panchayat officer asked him if he could think of a solution. Prem could see a solution – using drones that could map the area and efficiently spray the anti-larva medicine over it. It was going to be an automated process with the capacity cover of 25 to 20 acres without human contact.

The firm reached out to RICH to get information about mosquito larvae species that were predominant in which regions of Hyderabad tackle malaria, dengue, filariasis, and chikungunya.

Marut Drones, this year during monsoon, intends to resume its mosquito anti-larvae campaign.

To use drones for seed sowing in a way to increase forest cover is also on the anvil. They have been testing by dispersing seed balls in the Veernapally forest zone of Sircilla. They can sow 15,000 seeds, which will be increased to 1 lakh.

Apple Inc. AAPL has been looking for a shift of its the manufacturing unit related to its over-ear AirPods Studio headphones away from China.

What Happened
Apple will now make its new Studio range of headphones in Vietnam. This is the first time that the Cupertino-based tech giant has produced an entirely new product in Vietnam, according to 9to5Mac, an Apple news website.

Goertek Inc.,
an acoustics components firm and Luxshare Precision Industry Co Ltd, an Apple supplier, will assemble the headphones in Vietnam. Shipments to Apple would commence in June or July, with product release planned for late summer or early fall. Mass production is slated to begin mid-2020.

Why It Matters
The underlying reason for the shift of manufacturing to Vietnam is said to be “political and trade tensions” between the United States and China, reported 9to5Mac.

Contract manufacturers will still build some of the headphones in China, but shifting some manufacturing away from the country is an indication of Apple’s intention to diversify its manufacturing base.

Apple’s operations executives suggested in 2015 that the company move at least one product’s manufacturing to Vietnam. This would have given Apple a chance to begin the years-long process of training workers and creating a new group of component providers outside of China.

Apple has plans to move almost a fifth of its production capacity from China to India to take advantage of the Indian government’s new production-linked incentives scheme.

Price Action
Apple shares traded 1.40% higher at $314.54 in the after-hours session on Tuesday. The shares had closed the regular meeting at 0.58% higher at $313.14.

In a race to end its dependence on China, Apple is reportedly shifting its upcoming line of over-ear headphones’ AirPods Studio’ production to Vietnam.

The Cupertino-based tech giant has been trying to reduce its dependence on Chinese manufacturing since the US administration went into a trade battle with China last year.

As per the report, Apple has connected with contract manufacturers Goertek and Luxshare to use factories in Vietnam to produce the headphones.

Shipments to Apple will reportedly begin in June or July, which could mean a release to customers sometime in late summer.

Reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has also said that AirPods Studio will enter mass production in mid-2020.

AirPods Studio may reportedly come with head and neck detection feature similar to the ear detection feature in the AirPods and AirPods Pro.

The AirPods real wireless earphones series have sensors that can detect when the earphones have been removed or put back, to play or pause music or videos on compatible devices automatically.

AirPods Studio will have similar sensors that will detect whether the headphones are on the head or the neck, presumably playing or pausing content when the headphones are worn on the head.

Fortnite server is down as Epic Games is implementing the latest patch version 12.60 for the popular battle royale game.

Epic Games confirmed the downtime for Fortnite earlier today as the game was taken offline at 7am BST.

Servers could be offline anywhere between an hour to two hours, but in some cases, it could be longer.

Once the update has been rolled out, players should have no problem updating their game by downloading the new patch and logging back in.

The official Twitter page for Fortnite’s server status shared the information earlier today.

Epic Games typically rolls out updates for Fortnite server every Wednesday, so this downtime is expected.

As for what is being added in this patch, we’ll have to wait and see since Epic doesn’t release any patch notes for Battle Royale anymore.

Motorola G8 Power Lite budget smartphone worth waiting for launching in India on May 21 A big 5000mAh battery is the phone’s highlight. This could end the rivalry between Realme Narzo 10A and G8 Power Lite.

Motorola will announce its flagship Edge+ in India to act as a competitor to the Xiaomi Mi 10 5G and OnePlus 8 Pro. The Edge+ is not alone as Motorola will launch another phone in the budget segment, albeit two days later. It’s the Motorola G8 Power Lite starting on May 21, 2020, and must be available through Flipkart online desk. The G8 Power Lite is understood to be an affordable smartphone, although it is entry-level that was launched in Brazil the previous year.

As a part of the Moto G8 lineup, the G8 Power Lite will end up as an affordable and alternative competitor to the Motorola G8 Plus that we all saw last year in India. The “Lite” moniker forecasts that Motorola is focusing on the essentials with the phone, and if we are after high-end specifications, we will not get it on this phone.

The G8 Power Lite while being launched as an entry-level to the Moto G series last year in Brazil, and therefore, the specifications are quite basic and entry-level. The notable highlight on the G8 Power Lite is only its big 5000mAh battery. This feature has been drawn from the older model, Motorola One Power. The Narzo 10A ends up with a better chipset than the G8 Power Lite, and+ hence, Motorola will have a tough challenge on its hands convincing people to buy it.
