South Korean tech giant Samsung has reduced prices of its budget smartphone. Galaxy J7 Prime and Galaxy J5 Prime prices have been cut. Both of these smartphones can be bought at the launch price of less than Rs. 2,000.
Galaxy J7 Prime has a 5-inch HD display and it is now getting 12,990 rupees. While the Galaxy J7 Prime has a 5.5 inch full HD display and is available for Rs 14,990.
Significantly, these two smartphones were launched in September last year. The 32GB variants of these two smartphones were launched at Rs 14,990 and Rs 16,990, respectively. Android Marshmallow was given to both of these smartphones this year.
Both smartphones have 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal memory which can also be extended through micro SD card. However, the Galaxy J7 Prime has a 1.6GHz processor, which is faster than its other variants. Galaxy J7 Prime has a bigger battery which is 3,300mAh. However, these smartphones do not support fast charging.
At present, there are many contenders of these two smartphones in the Indian market. For example, you can take Xiaomi’s Mi A1 and Moto G5 Plus, which are more or less smartphones of the same segment. Speaking of hardware, performance, and cameras, these two Samsung smartphones seem to be lagging behind some new smartphones in this segment.
